We lead, others follow…
Anaconda lead the way again after becoming the first to install a CAT 3.4 litre 86kw Tier 4 final engine complete with the after-treatment system successfully in Europe.
Continuing dedication to customer service, our innovation was once more on display this week as we prepare to send two TR7542 tracked conveyors to Japan. The customer came to Anaconda with a specific request; it had to be a CAT engine and it had to be compliant with Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MILT). The MILT which was established as the world’s first fuel economy programme in 2005 guidelines includes restrictions on emissions and efficiency as a way for the nation to both maximise CO2 reduction and minimize social and economic costs.
As part of Anaconda’s Research and development programme it was assessed that the CAT 3.4 litre 86kw Tier 4 final engine would be the only engine suitable for the job at hand. “The first obstacle we had was the sheer size of the engine” noted Jonathan Scott, Engineering Manger at Anaconda International. “This is the first time an engine of this size has been utilised in such a light unit; the TR7542 weighs just 12,500kgs and can be transported in a standard shipping container. It’s a testament to the dedication of the team here at Anaconda that we have been able to engineer the solution to a customer’s problem in such a short time frame and lead the field in the progression of the industry.”
Thanks to the team in the engineering department Anaconda can offer our customer a solution that will see lower emissions and higher efficiency which can add a saving on fuel costs, contribute to a cleaner environment and improve after-treatment of engines. Anaconda strives to continue working with our partners and customers to provide a bespoke service to address issues and improve our range.
